Shop Local to Support Flood Relief
Boerne Fashion Week was originally a weeklong celebration all about highlighting the unique flair of our local retailers, but to to recent events, our retail community has decided to shift the focus of Boerne Fashion Week and the Sizzling Summer Sale to something bigger than themselves. The weekend of July 4th, the Texas Hill Country was hit with devastating floods, taking the lives of many and leaving numerous families with nothing. Families, businesses, summer camps, wildlife and more were effected in unimaginable ways. But, we are not a community without each other. Our Boerne Restaurant and Retailers Association has decided to morph their Boerne Fashion Week and Sizzling Summer Sale into an event to raise funds to be donated to flood relief efforts right here in Kendall and Kerr Counties.
In place of the Sizzling Summer Sale, participating businesses will now be donating 10% of all sales to local flood relief efforts. Every purchase you make this weekend, Friday through Sunday, with the following local businesses helps our neighbors recover and rebuild during this unthinkable time.
*This list will be updating within the next couple days, so please check back later in the week to see the full lineup of participants. Follow each of these businesses on social media to see the specials they’re offering this weekend, and any additional relief efforts they’re taking part in.
Throughout the week, you’ll see social media takeovers and collaborations on the Boerne Retailers Instagram account: @boerneretailersstyleandshop. These posts will not only highlight our retail shops and restaurants that are taking part in this give back event, but they’ll offer other ways you can support this cause. In addition to shopping local this weekend, some businesses are selling t-shirts with 100% of proceeds being donated, others are taking tangible donations, and more.
