Celebrating Chamber Week in Boerne
It’s Chamber Week!
This week, chambers of commerce across the country are celebrating the important role they play in supporting local businesses, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities for connection and growth. Here in Boerne, we’re making it a little more personal by celebrating the people who make our Chamber what it is: our staff, our board, and, most importantly, our members.
To officially kick off the celebration, the City of Boerne has proclaimed October 19–25 as Chamber Week in Boerne, recognizing the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce and the impact our local business community has on the growth and success of Boerne and Kendall County.
More Than a Membership
At the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce, our mission is centered around three things: advocacy, education, and connection.
But what does that actually look like?
It looks like helping a new business owner navigate their first year in business. It looks like connecting a local company with a future customer, partner, or employee. It looks like hosting workshops and networking opportunities, advocating for a strong business environment, celebrating grand openings, supporting our nonprofit community, and creating opportunities for people to learn from one another.
And sometimes, it simply looks like showing up.
Our Chamber is fortunate to represent more than 1,200 member businesses and organizations throughout Boerne, Kendall County, and the surrounding Hill Country. Behind every one of those memberships is a person, a team, a dream, or a business working to make our community a better place.
Meet the People Behind the Chamber
This Chamber Week, we’re putting the spotlight on the people who make all of that possible.
Our staff is the team running around behind the scenes! From membership and communications to events, programs, administration, and everything in between, our staff works every day to create meaningful opportunities for our members and community.
Our Board of Directors provides leadership, perspective, and guidance as we work to serve our business community and plan for the future of the Chamber.
And then there are our members, who are the heart of everything we do.
From longtime Boerne businesses and major employers to entrepreneurs, nonprofits, restaurants, retailers, professional services, and brand-new businesses just getting started, our members represent the incredible diversity and energy of our local business community.
Celebrating What We Do and Who We Do It For
Chamber Week is a chance to celebrate the work of chambers of commerce, but for us, it’s also a chance to celebrate Boerne.
We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built, the businesses we’ve supported, the connections we’ve helped create, and the opportunities we’ve been able to bring to our community.
This week, you’ll see us highlighting our staff, board members, and Chamber members across our social media channels as we share a little more about who we are, what we do, and the people who make it all happen. Be sure to follow us on all social media platforms, @boernechamber.
So, whether you’ve been a Chamber member for decades, recently joined, attended a Chamber event, visited a local business, or simply call Boerne home, Chamber Week is a celebration of you, too.
Here’s to the people, businesses, and community that make Boerne such a special place to live, work, and do business.
Happy Chamber Week, Boerne!
