Presented by the Boerne Business Alliance, Dickens on Main is a charming family event that takes visitors back in history to the late 19th Century, a time when the City of Boerne was settled. Beginning Thanksgiving weekend and continuing for three consecutive Fridays and Saturdays, downtown Boerne is filled with costumed citizens, beautifully decorated storefronts and stages complete with period and holiday performers.
Boerne is located 22 miles northwest of San Antonio on the edge of the Texas Hill Country. The events take place along the five-block stretch of Main Street from River Road to Blanco Street. Highlights of this family celebration are the annual Boerne Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 6 at 6:00 p.m. plus strolling carolers and other characters of the period. Dickens on Main also features local restaurants and shops specializing in beautiful crafts, clothing, jewelry, antiques, art and other unique gift items that make ideal Christmas presents for family and friends of all personalities.
