Sept Lunchbox Lesson: Success Strategies for the New Economy
The September Lunchbox Lesson focuses on your Business Action Plan for 2010 and making sure it reflects the reality of the new economy. This motivational session will be delivered at the Boerne Convention & Community Center on the corner of Adler and Plant on September 20th from 11:30 to 1 p.m. sponsored by Huie Financial Services.
Chamber Golf Tourney Tees Off for Scholarships
The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce continues a tradition with its 12th Annual Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament to be held Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Buckhorn in Comfort. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the Shotgun Start takes place at 12:30 p.m. This event supports the funding of the Aubrey E. “Sandy” Sanderson and Laurie Bushong Lang Memorial Scholarships given each year to graduating high school seniors.
Terri Politi Named as Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce President
The Board of Directors of the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce has named Terri Politi our new President. Terri has been serving the Chamber membership in the capacity of Vice President of Membership Development and as Interim Acting President, continuing the Chamber’s strong momentum.

“Insurance 101 for Small Business Owners."
The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce continues its third year of Lunchbox Lessons on October 18, 2010 at the Boerne Convention and Community Center at 11:30 a.m. sponsored by Texas Heritage Bank. This class is designed for those small business owners who want to better understand their insurance. The featured speaker is Ginny Thompson, of State Farm Insurance, who in January was honored as the 2009 Businesswoman of the Year.

We are excited to announce our sales campaign for the 2011 quality of life magazine, the official publication for the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce.
This annual publication will be mailed out in relocation packets, new homeowners packets, will appear in high traffic locations in the Boerne area such as the Visitor’s Center, and will also be featured on our homepage.
Chamber Launches New "Shop Local" Effort
In an effort to point more customers toward Boerne’s retail businesses, the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce has joined forces with the Boerne Business Alliance and the Convention & Visitors Bureau to implement our “Boerne Bucks” program.

Name the Magazine Contest
Your Chamber is working on the development of the 2011 Quality of Life Magazine. The Chamber publishes each year to attract visitors to Boerne as well as to let people moving to the area know about our community. We need a new title for the magazine (the old title was Images of Boerne). We’re looking for a short title, no more than three words, and if there are three word one of them should be “Boerne.”
