Increasing Boerne’s visibility within the State is important to the Chamber and the businesses that comprise its membership. The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce moved to 121 S. Main Street to raise the visibility of its members, and business in general. The new location means more people will be able to take advantage of all the collateral material and services we offer to the community and visitors and the boost the move brings to Boerne’s Main Street is immeasurable.
The Boerne Chamber has a rich history of community involvement. Some examples include:
- For the past two years the Workforce Readiness Initiative has prepared dozens of high school students in the County for viable work opportunities.
- For the last 12 years the Leadership Boerne program has produced hundreds of leaders prepared to volunteer in the community and to serve of the Boards and Committees of many local non-profit organizations and in several prestigious positions in our local government.
- For more than 80 years, the Chamber has promoted local businesses that provide thousands of jobs for local residents.
- Chamber members provide tens of thousands of dollars worth of scholarships to our high school students, and for some, it has made the difference in whether or not the student would be able to afford to attend college.
Studies show that businesses that are Chamber members add so much to a community. The Shapiro Study provides dramatic evidence that Chamber members are more involved in the community, their employees volunteer more, they give more scholarships for local students.
Being part of a Chamber of Commerce is also good for business. The same study demonstrates that businesses that are members of a Chamber are perceived to have a better reputation, use better business practices and have a stronger more viable business.
With the move to Main Street, the Chamber is offering businesses and the community the opportunity to participate in its Capital Campaign. Contributions may be made online here or through a Chamber Board Director to celebrate a member business. There are a variety of contribution levels that each brings specific benefits to the business. Or individuals can be honored in life or memorialized for all time through contributions to the Capital Campaign.
We encourage you to contact a member of the Chamber Board of Directors to find out how you can be a contributor to our Capital Campaign. You may also download and review the Chamber's Capital Campaign brochure.
You’ll find their phone numbers and can even click the email icon to send them a message letting them know of your interest in being part of our Capital Campaign. This is your opportunity to do something for the Chamber that has done so much for Boerne.
